Country Western Line Dancing in Woodland

TUESDAY WEEKLY DANCING:   Country Western Line Dances will be held Tuesday evenings starting 8/31 and continue as long as weather permits from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. at the Woodland Community Center, 2001 East Street, Woodland.  Cost is $5 per person and can be paid at the dances with cash, Venmo to Judy Bechthold or a check made payable to “City of Woodland”.  Some experience in line dancing is recommended.

Location :  The Amphitheater located on the east side of the complex.  It's outside the large gym.  To enter from East Street, take the south drive, continue under the solar panels, past the basketball court and soccer fields.  You will see a grassy berm on your left.  There are two walkways marked ‘Amphitheater' that lead to the dance area.  From East Street you can also turn on Sports Park drive, enter the complex and the Amphitheater will be at the end of the drive a little to your left.

Notes :  Be sure to bring your own chairs, non-alcoholic drinks and probably, later in the season, a sweater or light jacket for later in the evening.  We will be dancing on fairly smooth concrete so wear sneakers that have worn/smooth soles.  Dances will have few turns and variations will be shown to help.  Most of our dances will be at the beginner/easy level.

Special Note :  Bathrooms are not available yet.  Due to COVID and the new Delta variant, please restrain from handshakes, hugs and keep social distance. We will have plenty of space.

BEGINNER CLASSES: There are no beginner classes at this time.

MONTHLY DANCE: :   We originally had a dance scheduled for 8/27 but it has been canceled along with the monthly dance in September.  Hopefully, we can go back to inside dancing in October.
